Insight, not diagnosis

More than a test result. A way to read it properly.

A raw DNA result is a long list of letters. Nordic Balance DNA is built around what comes after the sample: reports sorted by topic in a private dashboard, written in plain language, each one saying what the finding rests on and where it stops. You decide what to read, what to keep and what to take to your own doctor.

Report areas

What you could explore

The planned report areas, described at a general level. The exact reports in each package will be confirmed before launch and can depend on your market and, for uploads, on your raw file.

Ancestry & origins

How your genetic markers compare with reference populations, and which broad regions your family lines may trace back to.

Where it stopsIt does not establish nationality, family records or one exact place of origin.

Personal traits

Everyday characteristics associated with your DNA, such as caffeine sensitivity, sleep timing or taste.

Where it stopsThese are tendencies seen in large groups. Habits and surroundings often matter more.

Wellness & nutrition

Nutrition- and lifestyle-related context you can weigh when planning meals and days.

Where it stopsIt is not a diet plan, a measured nutrient need or a reason to start taking supplements.

Sport & recovery

Training- and recovery-related context, where included in your package.

Where it stopsIt does not predict performance, injuries or how well a training plan will work for you.

No report diagnoses a condition. Medically regulated reports, such as hereditary disease risk, carrier status and medication response, are not part of the offer.

How it will work

From sample to results

The planned steps from order to dashboard. Turnaround times and laboratory details will be published before launch.

Already tested elsewhere?

Bring the DNA data you already own

If you have raw DNA data from another provider, you may not need a new test. Uploads open with the launch and will accept VCF files and raw data from 23andMe, AncestryDNA, FamilyTreeDNA and MyHeritage. Each file is checked first: a file that cannot be read safely, such as a VCF holding several people or one built on a different reference genome, is rejected rather than guessed at. Which reports a file supports depends on its source, format and quality.

Your DNA Dashboard

Built for use, not just storage

Your reports live in one private profile that you sign in to with BankID. Where you choose, you can add blood-work results for context. The goal is not more files. It is a structure you can come back to.

  • Reports organized by category, written to be read
  • Sign-in with BankID
  • Blood-work uploads where supported
  • Access follows your consent choices

Privacy

Designed for sensitive data, not ordinary shopping data

Genetic and health data deserve more careful handling than a shopping profile. This is where Nordic Balance DNA is deliberately different.

Kept apart from shopping

Genetic data sits in a separate account service, never in orders, marketing or analytics.

Consent-based access

Access is controlled by your consent choices, visible in your profile.

BankID sign-in

Your dashboard is protected by BankID, the Norwegian electronic ID.

No genetic data in chat

Our shopping assistant has no access to genetic or health data.

Where data is stored, how long it is kept and how to delete it will be set out in the privacy terms before launch.

Who it is for

Three ways people might use Nordic Balance DNA

Curious about origins

You want to know where your family lines come from and how your inherited picture fits together. Ancestry and traits may be all you need.

Training-focused

You train regularly and want sport- and recovery-related context alongside nutrition. The goal is better questions, not more products.

Healthy ageing

You want ancestry, wellness context and, if you choose, blood-work results in one profile you can come back to over the years.

Sold separately

The test, the platform and the supplements are separate

Nordic Balance DNA is not a supplement quiz, and a DNA result will not tell you which product to buy. You can use one without the others.
